Athletic Programs

Middle School Athletics Information

McKell Middle School fields several athletic teams each year.  Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball Cheerleading, and Volleyball are three sports that are offered on the campus of McKell Middle School.  These teams have practices and games are our facilities.  Football, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Golf teams are fielded by studdents from McKell and Wurtland Middle Schools and most always utilize GCHS facilities for practices and games.  7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity (per KHSAA guidelines) to participate on High School Varsity sports (exceptions are Football and Soccer).  We encourage students to get involved in as many athletic and extracurricular programs as possible.  If you have questions about athletic programs offered, please contact the school.
