Parents and Athletes,
Each year EVERY athlete must complete Concussion Education. This is an annual training due to the ever evolving knowledge of how concussions affect the adolescent student-athlete. Each team will be given an opportunity to do in person team training. If an athlete is unable to attend this training then they will need to watch the NATA concussion video, view the parent and athlete CDC concussion fact sheets and return Attachment A to the Athletic Trainer. There are 2 videos listed - if your child plays football please have them watch the NATA for football. All other athletes need to view the other NATA/NCAA video.
I also encourage that your teen also reviews the Brainline Teen Concussion Education material on this page also. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions at 606-465-7498 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
