School History

McKell Middle School; Opened August 1989

School Colors:  Black & Gold (chosen by Greenup County Board of Education 1989)

School Mascot:  Bulldog (chosen by popular vote of student body 1989, but was originally inspired by Alan Lamblin 1928-1929 of the old Fullerton High school and later adopted by McKell High School)

School Fight Song:  (Anchors Aweigh, US Navy)(adopted by student body 1989, lyrics were written by A.D. Roberts, a Basketball coach at Fullerton High School in 1928-1929, and later adopted by McKell High School)

Fight ya Bulldogs, Fight ya Bulldogs, Fight, Fight Fight. Fight Bulldogs for McKell, We'll win this game.  We have our faith in you, opponents you must tame, tame tame, tame.  Bulldogs don't let us down, go knock-em cold.  Roll on to victory, and Fight you Bulldogs, Fight you Bulldogs, Fight, Fight, Fight.
