Did you know that GCHS is a National ACT Testing Center? If your student is interested in taking the ACT here at GCHS on a national testing date, please see the registration deadlines below:
Saturday October 17th Test Date
Regular Deadline: September 11th
Late Deadline: September 29th
Saturday December 12th Test Date
Regular Deadline: November 6th
Late Deadline: November 29th
To register for a test, students will need to create accounts on MyACT.org if they have never tested before. If they have tested before, students can log in to their existing accounts to register. When selecting your test center, be sure to choose PAPER testing if you want to test at GCHS. We are NOT an online testing center at this time.
The cost of the standard test is $70. It is an additional $5 to add the Science test.
If your Sophomore student is planning to apply for Jesse Stuart Institute this year, they will need to take the ACT in either October or December as it is an application requirement.
Have your 11th & 12th grade student see their counselor to check to see if they qualify for free testing opportunities.

Attention GCHS Dual Credit students! Make plans to stop by school on Friday August 14th for this year's Dual Credit Day. This drop in event will allow you to set up your college logins/email addresses, confirm course selections, complete application tasks (as needed), and discuss dual credit scholarships/payment information. Students may bring personal computers, but Chromebooks will be provided for those who need them.

6 PM is our live auction
We are currently accepting donation items for our auction. Items can be brought to Sam Collier at the GCHS main office.
If you would prefer to make a direcly monetary donation, there is an account set up at the Desco bank in Greenup, and you can request to put funds in the Daniel Gullett Benefit account. Thank you GCHS family for your support!

DUAL CREDIT DAY 8/15/25
Students taking dual credit courses through UK and/or ACTC this year can drop in during this event to complete important tasks related to their college classes before the school year begins. These tasks include setting up their Blackboard/Canvas accounts and student email addresses. Staff from each college as well as our counselors will be on hand during the event to assist with these tasks and answer any questions students/family members may have.
