Enjoy spring break bulldogs

Check out this weeks Bulldog Beacon! Sorry for it being a couple of days late!

Finishing up a great National Ag Week, we had GCHS student Angelrae Bates come back and teach our students about pigs!
It was great having our alumni back to teach our students.

On Friday we had our grade level assemblies to celebrate our students. These students had either All "A", All "A-B" and/or had perfect attendance. We also drew names for our 9 weeks rewards for our rewards program! Students have to meet certain levels of attendance, grades, missing assignments and behavior.

WE HAVE A FIRST TIME OFFERING FROM MCKELL MIDDLE STUDENTS!!
Just in time for Easter and Spring we have baby chicks for sale! These eggs were all incubated by our very own McKell Middle Students. They are so proud of the outcome and we want to SELL them to the community!
If interested please reach out to our main office or Mrs. Cattell/Mrs. Coleman!

Its time for the latest edition of the Bulldog Beacon!

Our Bulldog Ag class keeps turning out awesome projects! Next week they are beginning to plant different varities of flowers inside and then transfer them to our new greenhouse! We cant wait to see the beautiful blooms!

Eggstravaganza!
McKell Middle Agriculture class paired with local community members who donated eggs. We currently have 86 eggs incubating. Students are watching these and making sure that they are developing correctly. If you are in need of some chicks we will be offering CHICKS for sale!!!!! More details to come!

Celebrating the end of Read Across America week, some of our 8th grade students went to McKell Elementary to read to the students. Our students loved working with our neighbors!

This week, Mrs. Markins EdRising (Future Educators) students helped create patterns with Ms. Terri’s preschool class.

In Mrs. Caudill's Digital Creation class they have been working hard on student projects. Shawn Richards and William Conley created 3-D Puzzles on the computer and then printed them using our Glowforge. Once printed they then brought them to life by putting them together.

Mrs Fraley’s eighth grade science students are working on a genetics and inherited traits unit. Today they finished up their “Trait Tree” in class today. Each student determined their dominant or recessive genotype for five traits: tongue rolling, hairline, freckles, ear lobes, freckles, and PTC paper tasting. They labeled their traits on leaves and posted on the tree. It makes a great educational display in our classroom.
