Earlier this month, the Disney Stage Connect banner arrived at Greenup County School of Innovation! We are so excited to see students from across our district come together for the May performance.
Greenup County School of Innovation is really the most magical place!

Recently, students in the classes of Mrs. Laura Fraley have been inspired by Michelangelo himself. The Italian artist is most well-known for his work on the Sistine Chapel. Students looked at the world from his perspective - upside down!
We love learning in new ways at Greenup County School of Innovation!

MUSKIES OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Kala Slusher shares that Oakley recently had a snow globe that he brought to school, accidentally shattering it. That evening, Adalyn went home and asked her mother to take her to the store, so that she could buy Oakley a new snow globe with which she could surprise him. The next day, she brought it to school, and Oakley was so excited. He returned the sweet gesture by arriving at school the following day with a gift for Adalyn to thank her for being so thoughtful. Mrs. Slusher notes that it made her teacher's heart so happy to witness the kindness and compassion of these little kindergarten babies!
We are so proud of these little Musketeers!

Throughout the month of December, we'll be studying forces and motion in the Innovation Lab! We are so excited for our students to participate in some amazing learning opportunities!

MUSKETEER OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Haileigh Hayes shares that Holden has been such a huge help to both herself and his classmates over the last couple of weeks. "Not only is he stuck with me for over half the day (and somehow hasn’t complained once), but he’s always willing to jump in and help with anything that needs to be done. Whether it’s making copies, cleaning up the room, or helping classmates, Holden is always ready to lend a hand," shares Mrs. Hayes.
Holden has also gone out of his way to help others, including helping a fellow student carry his things while on crutches. He’s been a big help to the younger students in her elective classes, too, showing them the ropes and helping with directions and expectations.
Holden is a great influence on everyone around him, and his positive attitude makes her classroom a better place every day.

Students in the classes of Mrs. Boyer and Mrs. Williams recently completed a gratitude challenge. They each chose people they were thankful for within our school and their families. They spent time sharing their gratitude with each of these important people in their lives.

MUSKETEER OF THE WEEK
Mr. Samuel Lever shares that Parker is always a joy to have in class. Mr. Lever notes that Parker is a hard worker and is always very willing to help with classroom cleaning. He always gives teachers a big smile and happy "hello" when he sees them in the hallways, has a great attitude, and is highly deserving of this commendation.
Way to be a leader, Parker!

Ms. Katie Williams shares that Isiah has jumped in and done an outstanding job working with our elementary friends as part of this term's EdRising class. His peers came back from class and recently reported, "Bro, Isiah was built for this. He's so good with those little kids!" We are glad he has joined our school and this class!

Mrs. Rhonda Loos shares that Xavier goes above and beyond each day, taking care of both the classroom and students. She notes that he is always sweeping the floor, helping students when they spill things, and helping the teacher. She adds that he has also been working hard in class and doing absolutely awesome!
We are so proud of this little Musketeer!

A special parent notes that she is thankful for Melody Buckler. She shares, "Thank you for taking care of our boys and all the kiddos on the bus and in the lunchroom. You make their days brighter. We appreciate you so much!"
We, too, are so grateful for Mel and all she does for each of our students! We love you, Mel!
