MUSKIE OF THE WEEK

Mrs. Sarah Williams shares that, recently, there was a kindergarten student who was upset because she had gotten new glasses and was afraid other students would make fun of her. Zya stepped in to comfort her in a moment of vulnerability, trying to get her to go with her to breakfast. She was so kind to this student!

We are so proud of this little Musketeer!

ALL IN FOR AG EDUCATION WEEK: A LITTLE BIT OF DRAMA ON THE FARM

During "All In For Ag Education Week," students in Mrs. Fraley's theatre classes participated in regional and agricultural theatre centers. For Reader's Theatre, they studied the script for "Leaving The Farm, " auditioned for their chosen characters, and made character puppets to perform farm animal puppet shows. They learned about life in the past throughout our region and discussed how set designers build models to represent future backdrops. They structured their own set designs, modeling log cabins out of popsicle sticks.

ALL IN FOR AG EDUCATION WEEK: CORN HUSK DOLLS Throughout the coming days, we'll be sharing our students' amazing learning experiences from last week! Students in the social studies classes of Mrs. Hayes had such a fun and meaningful day learning about Native American life before colonization. In honor of All in for Ag Education Week, students explored the “Three Sisters” – corn, beans, and squash – with a special focus on the importance of corn. After reading and discussing its role in Native cultures, students brought history to life by creating their own corn husk dolls (using tissue paper) and learning the stories and traditions behind them. 🌽
