
Wurtland Elementary's Read Across America Week is beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 4th with Book Character Day! Dress as your favorite book character or bring your book character with you. We look forward to seeing your creative outfits as we bring our favorite stories to life!


WES will participate in Read Across America Week Monday, March 4th- Friday, March 8th. Each day will be a different dress-up theme!

Let's dance! Wurtland Elementary will be hosting a Shamrock Dance on Friday, March 1st from 3:30-4:30. Admission will be $1 per person or $5 with a meal deal. The meal will consist of a slice of pizza, chips, and a drink. Additional food and drinks will be sold in concessions. We will also offer pictures for $2 each.


Kona Ice will be at Wurtland Elementary on Wednesday, February 21st. See the attached flyer for pricing details.


School will not be in session on Monday, February 19th due to a scheduled professional development day. Have a great long weekend and we will see you on Tuesday!


Good evening Wurtland families! Friday, February 16th will be NTI Day #5 for Greenup County Schools. Please have students complete work for NTI Day #5 and return this work to school on Tuesday. School staff will be available by phone or email tomorrow if you have any questions. Have a great evening everyone!

Rodeo meeting will be held February 9th from 5-6 p.m. in the GCHS cafeteria. The guest speaker will be rough stock rider, Lloyd Billups. Current 5th graders and next year's 5th graders are invited to attend.


Wurtland Elementary will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, February 16th. Please be on the lookout for communication from your child’s teacher. Each classroom will be participating in various activities throughout the day!


Wurtland Elementary would like to thank our generous sponsors for donating items for our District Academic Meet this past Saturday. We are very appreciative of our community's support. Thank you Tres Hermanos and Food Fair!
