
Our students have been working hard on a special choir performance just for you! We will be presenting two concerts on Wednesday, December 13th, featuring grades Preschool-2 at 12:00 pm and grades 3-5 at 1:15 pm.


You are invited to Wurtland Elementary's Polar Express Literacy Night on Thursday December 14th from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm. You and your family will enjoy a spaghetti dinner, a visit with Santa, and students will receive their first gift of the holiday season. We can't wait to see you here!

WES Kindergarten classes began their 14 days of secret surprise stories read by guest readers! Today's special reader was our very own librarian, Mrs. Litteral, who used Novel Effect to bring our story, How to Catch a Gingerbread, to life with silly sound effects and music! The cozy hallway was filled with the giggles of happy and engaged children!

WES Thanksgiving Parade! Students planned and created balloons for our Wurtland Elementary Thanksgiving Day Parade. Our kids are so creative!











WES Annual Turkey Trot! Students donated non-perishable food items to be used to bless our community members during the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are so proud of their giving hearts!







WES students will participate in the 12 Days of Christmas Dress Up days leading up to our holiday break. We look forward to seeing your creativity!

Good morning Wurtland families! We have a couple of reminders for you this morning. Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day of food collection for the food drive/Turkey Trot. Please be sure to send those items tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is also the last day to turn in the orders and money for the Texas Roadhouse peanut fundraiser. Please be sure those items come in no later than 3 PM on Friday. As always, thank you for your support. Have a great day!

WES is adding a new security feature!


Wurtland Elementary is participating in the Turkey Trot food drive beginning 11/13 and running through 11/17. The class that brings the most food items will will a treat!

WES HALLOWEEN PARADE AND PARTIES will take place Tuesday, October 31st at 1:00 p.m. Families are invited to attend during this time.


WES BOOK FAIR STARTS TOMORROW! Create an eWallet account to preload funds for your child. Students will visit the fair during their library classes Thursday/Friday and then again next week. The fair will be open to the public during Wurtland Elementary and Wurtland Middle's Trunk or Treat Thursday, 10/26 from 5-7 p.m.


WES will celebrate Red Ribbon Week on Monday, 10/30 and Tuesday, 10/31.
