ALL IN FOR AG EDUCATION WEEK: CORN HUSK DOLLS Throughout the coming days, we'll be sharing our students' amazing learning experiences from last week! Students in the social studies classes of Mrs. Hayes had such a fun and meaningful day learning about Native American life before colonization. In honor of All in for Ag Education Week, students explored the “Three Sisters” – corn, beans, and squash – with a special focus on the importance of corn. After reading and discussing its role in Native cultures, students brought history to life by creating their own corn husk dolls (using tissue paper) and learning the stories and traditions behind them. 🌽

THE PLANTING BEGINS... Last week, our agriculture students started seed pods for our first hydroponics growth cycle of the year.  Seeds will stay under growth lights for about two weeks and will then be transplanted into our hydroponics tank. We should have over 250 flowers at the end of our growth cycle. We can't wait to see the final results!
