RELATIONSHIP MAPPING
Members of our faculty recently participated in a relationship mapping activity. This process allows adults throughout the building to target students who may need extra supports on a daily basis and to build bridges with those they may not know. ❤️

KET @ WMS
Last week, Mr. Daniel Armstrong from KET came to speak with our Digital Literacy students and taught them about the many uses of green screens. Students were able to take this knowledge and create their own breaking news segment. What a fun learning experience!

INDUSTRIAL ARTS
Our Industrial Arts students have been working hard, preparing items for their big sale on the evening of Trunk-or-Treat. What will you plan to purchase?!

COLLEAGUE CREDIT
Mr. Scott Bowling shares that Mr. Jeremiah Haywood recently jumped in and helped to hang bulletin boards for an Industrial Arts display. The extra hands were definitely appreciated! Thank you for being a team player, Mr. Haywood!

OLD FASHIONED DAYS
As they do every year, our music students performed amazingly well at this year's Old Fashioned Days event. Great work, Wildcats!

2024.2025 Lady Musketeers Basketball Tryouts
Girls Varsity Basketball (10 - 12 Players)
Grades 7 through 12 will be considered for spots on the varsity roster. Coaches will consider players based on their abilities to dribble, pass, shoot, defend, overall attitude, and ability to be coached throughout the four days of tryouts.
Girls Junior Varsity Basketball (8 - 12 Players)
Grades 7 through 10 will be considered for spots on the junior varsity roster. Coaches will name some players to both the junior varsity and varsity rosters. Again, coaches will be looking for the same attributes as those demonstrated by varsity players.

VISUAL MEDIA GETS THE SHOT
Last week, Shane Runion, our district's Director of Communications, spent time showing students how to capture the best photographs possible in any setting. We'll be sharing their photography in the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned!

HOT BROWNIES, ANYONE?
Students in Mrs. Shannon's Hospitality and Tourism class made fresh brownies for last week's open house guests. Students even used fresh eggs freshly gathered from our very own chicken coop. All reviews point to DELICIOUS!

SPOOKY SEASON ARTS AND CRAFTS
Students in our Cats' Creations class learn how to DO IT ALL - designing, creating, packaging, and even marketing! With some very exciting events on the horizon, they are currently working to craft a bulk supply of products. To say we're impressed, well, is certainly an understatement!
Make certain to grab a $15.00 Halloween paint set today. There are only three left in stock. Leave a comment on this post if you would like to claim one for Spooky Season fun.

SHADOW THE WILDCAT WAY
On Tuesday, November 19, we're opening the doors and inviting YOU to shadow our students at Wurtland Middle School. If you are interested in learning about the Wildcat Way, our academic innovations, and career and technical education classes, this is an excellent opportunity to walk in the shoes of our students for the day.
If you're interested in participating in this shadowing opportunity, please complete the linked form: https://forms.gle/Mb2fn5vHktH29CwR8
