Sunday is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day.

He may have a litte more hair and one fancy moustache.......... but.............

We want to celebrate our School Resource Officer and the impact he makes every single day at McKell Middle School.

Officer Robinson is more than a uniform in the hallway. He is a mentor, a role model, a protector, and a steady presence for our students and staff. He builds relationships, checks in on kids who need it most, and goes above and beyond to make sure our school is safe and welcoming.

From helping with events, supporting families, stepping in as a positive male role model, and even creating additional safety training on his own time. His commitment to our students does not go unnoticed.

We are grateful for the leadership and dedication he brings not just to MMS, but to Greenup County as a whole.

Thank you, Officer Robinson, for serving our school with pride and purpose. We appreciate you today and every day.

Students currently have Days 4-6 in packet form. This was given to them last week.
When students return next week, paper copies of days 7-10 will be passed out, in case we have more winter weather in the future. If you are not able to print Day #7 students are welcome to utilize notebook paper to write down the answers.

Mrs. Fraley’s eighth grade science classes used “Fugglers” today while working on their genetics unit. They chose a “Fuggler” and used the accompanying description to determine the parent genotypes. They completed their Punnett Square and then illustrated to show phenotypes and made a poster display.

This is year 3 for Mrs. Fraley's classes to help the Ronald McDonald house in Huntington, WV.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides "homes away from home" for families with critically ill children, offering free or low-cost lodging, meals, and support near hospitals so families can stay close to their child's treatment, reducing stress and costs while promoting healing for the entire family.

We will be taking donations until Feburary 13th!
