UP IN THE AIR
Last week, drama students took a field trip to Cirque D’Art. They experienced a different type of theatre than they are used to with lots of aerials and a real stage where they practiced staging and improvisation. There were lots of laughs and smiles!

HOMECOMING DANCE
Our annual homecoming dance will be held on January 20, 2024. Dress can be formal, Sunday best, or even inspired by your favorite Taylor Swift look. Students coming from other schools will need to complete a dance application. We're looking forward to this era!

WRITER OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Brumfield shares that Huner has demonstrated hard work in English this quarter. He is always ready to learn by carefully listening to instruction and taking his time on his work. He worked especially hard on the on-demand writing benchmark last week.


COLLEAGUE CREDIT
Mrs. Mary Logsdon shares that Mr. Doran is always going out of his way to volunteer to help his co-workers. He also always checks in just to make sure his colleagues are okay, asking if anything is needed and sharing his knowledge by answering questions.


WILDCAT OF THE WEEK
Mr. Scott Bowling shares that McKennly has worked so hard and learned so much in Industrial Arts class. She is always eager to help and learn new skills. She takes pride in her work and always does her best. Great work, McKennly!


ANNUAL DOOR DECORATING TOURNAMENT
In the days before Christmas, we want to share something fun with our students, parents, and community members. It's our fourth annual Christmas door decorating tournament! Our faculty members have decorated their doors in the spirit of the holiday season. Each day before break will present a new round of the tournament. Today, please choose your favorite 16 doors on the Google Form for the preliminary round. Tomorrow afternoon, the top 16 entries will make it onto the tournament bracket and another round of voting will occur.
When using the Google Form to vote, please enter your e-mail address at the top of the form and choose the selection boxes located directly under the pictures before submitting your form. The preliminary round will close at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.

PEP RALLY
Yesterday afternoon, our students were treated to a fun and exciting pep rally! Teacher v. student basketball game. Energetic introductions. The whole school on the floor doing the Chicken Dance. Go, Wildcats!

A LEGO REWARD
This week, students worked hard completing an on-demand writing assessment, so a reward was obviously in order! Ms. Johnson broke out the Legos, allowing students to activate the magic of their imaginations! AT WMS, WE'RE ALWAYS BUILDING!
