EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: JAYLYNN CLAPPER We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Baleigh Long shares that J.J. is a natural leader and always willing to help others. She jumps in when someone needs a hand, sets a great example, and is a great friend to everyone around her. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: NOAH GULLETT We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Bobbi Brumfield shares that Noah is a very talented artist. He displayed several pieces in the art show at the high school this year. She adds that he worked hard this year to improve his drawing talents, as well as his grades in core classes. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: DAKOTA SHOCKEY We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Mary Logsdon shares that Dakota has been a great student to have in class. He has made tremendous academic growth this school year on i-Ready and classwork. He has also be very helpful in including students in class that aren't always included, showing how kind-hearted he is. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

Mrs. Bobbi Brumfield shares that Victoria worked very hard on her end-of-year tests. She showed up on time and ready to go each day! We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: RILEY JILES We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Mary Logsdon shares that Riley is always singing, dancing, and bringing an atmosphere of happiness to our classroom. She adds, "Not only that, he is the first to answer any questions and participate in classroom discussions. He is a joy to have in class!" We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: JOSHUA SPARKS We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Mary Logsdon shares that Joshua is a kind-hearted, caring young man who is always looking out for his peers. He is the first to support someone if he feels they need help. He has stated that he wants to be a policeman or resource officer when he grows up, so he can continue help other people. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: JACOB JONES We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mr. Eric Boos shares that Jacob is a star history student, active athlete, and well thought-of amongst his peers. Jacob shows strong character and great potential in future pursuits. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: BRAYLON CHANDLEY We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Ms. Katie Williams notes that Braylon is so much fun! He is an entertainer to the core and keeps us laughing. Braylon is very musically talented and witty. Don't be surprised if you see Braylon on the big screen one day. Ms. Williams adds that they have a lot of fun and look forward to whatever excitement Braylon is going to bring to class each day! We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: BELLA YOUNG We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Baleigh Long notes that Bella is an amazing actress who lights up the stage. She plays every role with confidence and heart, and it’s always fun to watch her perform. She has a bright future ahead of her! We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!

WILDCAT OF THE WEEK Mrs. Bobbi Brumfield shares that Dylan recently offered extra notebooks to a few classmates in need of new ones. Thank you for being so generous, Dylan!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: DANIELLE WHITLOCK We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Ms. Katie Williams shares that Danielle is such a nice human being. She is genuine and kind, making the elementary students feel comfortable and welcome during EdRising. Ms. Williams notes that she can trust Danielle to do any job well. She works hard in class and at archery. She notes that she will miss Danielle next year! We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION STUDENT OF THE WEEK Mr. Scott Bowling shares that Bryce recently did a great job of answering all media questions and represented our school very well throughout our fourth annual Habitat build day. Mr. Bowling notes that he is very proud of Bryce!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: HANNAH NEWSOM We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Ms. Katie Williams shares that Hannah is a great student and a great athlete. Recently, Hannah invited a student to join a volleyball game and took the time to teach some friends how to hit and set a volleyball, so they could play. She does a great job in EdRising and seeks out the shy students who are reluctant to participate. Hannah has a lot of wonderful traits, but the one I admire the most is that she is an includer. We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!

After testing concluded today, building administrators, Brandi Litteral and Melissa Bowling, spent time distributing items from the prize cart to seventh-grade students for high attendance and winning a search activity. They're excited to continue their deliveries tomorrow!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: JASMINE BURCHETT AND CAROLINE WOODS We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Dornon notes that these two young ladies are very sweet and always willing to help! She notes that they recently had "beauty school" during FLEX and took the time to show Mrs. Dornon how to use her new beach wave curling iron. She further adds that they were incredibly patient as she learned from them! We are so incredibly proud of these Wildcats and look forward to the many successes they will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: ETHAN WELLS We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Christi Dornon shares that Ethan has matured quite a bit. She notes that he takes responsibility for his work and is very polite. She further adds that he always says "thank you" and "have a nice day". We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

CONTINUING TO LEARN Last week, students in our Hospitality and Tourism class visited the extension office once more. They customized their own Ramen noodles, adding various vegetables and seasonings. It seems that the end results were quite tasty! Great work, students!

He demonstrates respectful behavior and is a good friend to his classmates. He has worked hard to improve his grades as well." We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes he will achieve at the high school!

EIGHTH-GRADE SPOTLIGHT: ABBIGAIL ZEEK We're excited to continue recognizing our eighth-grade students throughout the month of May! Mrs. Bobbi Brumfield shares, "I've known Abbi since she was a sixth-grader in my Creative Writing class. Now, I have the privilege of having her in my eighth-grade English class. She has grown so much during this time. She is a dependable, trustworthy, and hardworking student. I am so proud of her growth and accomplishments." We are so incredibly proud of this Wildcat and look forward to the many successes she will achieve at the high school!
