PRACTICING THE GOOD
On Friday, students traveled to Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services (NKCES) to listen to various speakers from across the state. The topics of focus included vaping, suicide prevention, mindfulness, relationship building, and online safety. Also, we owe our guidance counselor, Mrs. Amy Hieneman, a special note of thanks for chaperoning students.
We are proud of our Wildcats for working hard to learn how to support their peers!

UPCYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATING COMPETITION
This week, we want to continue to share a new brand of fun with our students, parents, and community members. It's our first upcycled Christmas tree creation and decoration competition. Various classes and their amazing teachers throughout the building have turned rags into riches. Each day throughout the coming week will present a new round of the tournament. Through the close of the school day on Monday, please choose your favorite eight doors on the Google Form. On Tuesday, the top eight entries will make it onto the tournament bracket and another round of voting will occur.
When using the Google Form to vote, please enter your e-mail address at the top of the form and choose the selection boxes located directly under the pictures before submitting your form. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.

This week, we want to share something fun with our students, parents, and community members. It's our fifth annual Christmas door decorating tournament. Our FLEX classes and their amazing teachers have decorated their doors in the spirit of the holiday season. Each day throughout the coming week will present a new round of the tournament. Through the close of the school day on Monday, please choose your favorite 16 doors on the Google Form. On Tuesday, the top sixteen entries will make it onto the tournament bracket and another round of voting will occur.

Our Meals on Wheels crew had another successful week of deliveries! We are so proud of our Wildcats!

COLLEAGUE CREDIT
Mr. Michael Doran shares that Officer Gollihue works tirelessly to ensure the safety of the students and staff in three different buildings, all the while building community relationships and improving the morale of the adults and children with whom he comes in contact every day. He is a valuable member of the WMS family and a true asset to Greenup County Schools.

Mrs. Bobbi Brumfield notes that Carmen has been working hard to develop a short story for an upcoming competition that she plans to enter. Mrs. Brumfield shares that she LOVES Carmen's LOVE for writing!

Saule Gollihue shares that Cris always lifts everyone’s spirits by just walking through the hallways! From walking past classmates to teachers, everyone is always so happy to be greeted by Cris's smiles, waves, and, sometimes, special hugs!

Industrial Arts and Cats' Creations students have a few remaining Christmas trees for sale. Small trees are $20.00; medium trees are $30.00; and large trees are $40.00. You may also purchase all three remaining trees for $75.00.

EdRISING VISITS STORY HOUR
EdRising students visited the Flatwoods Library Story Hour yesterday! Students had a great day that featured Christmas stories, a library scavenger hunt, and helping younger children make crafts.
What a fun adventure!




THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER
Before break, many students had been working hard and studying "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". Upon the completion of the reading, students were able to go see the movie. They were even treated to a trip to Mr. Gatti's! WHAT. A. GREAT. DAY.
